Seamheads II
As the MLB season resumes this weekend after the All Star break, we’re excited to introduce a new lockleagues format. Seamheads II will run from Monday 7/20 all the way through October. After the world cup concludes this weekend, the sports watching nation will turn its attention to baseball for a while. What better way to get through the dog days of summer than getting into a league and making some picks on the diamond.
If you participated in a Seamheads I league, you may already be familiar with how these leagues work. Seamheads II will be very similar but with some slight changes. Each window will be 7 days long, with 4 picks required for each window. Picks are limited to odds higher than -200 and lower than +200. Leagues can have up to 8 members and unique picks will not be a requirement for these leagues.
To win a Seamheads II league, you’ll need elite seam knowledge. Here’s a couple teams I would look to back in the second half of the season. First would be the Seattle Mariners. This team simply has too good of a roster to not win the weak AL west. I believe eventually they will put things together and take control of this division. Another would be the San Diego Padres. Similar to the Mariners, this team is loaded with talent, but play in a much more difficult division. I do think that Tatis, Machado, and Merril can produce enough offense to secure the playoff spot for the Padres.
