Puck Pick of the day
It’s finally Friday and you know what that means, we’re back on the ice for another puck pick of the day. We were able to grind out another victory last week with the Lightning prevailing in overtime thanks to a shutout from Vasilevskiy and a Gage Goncalves game winner. Enough about that though as I’ve shifted my focus to this Friday’s slate and am looking to make it 3 in a row. Tonight I’ll be targeting a road dog in the form of the Montreal Canadiens. The Habs fell in game 1 to the Sabres 4-2 but I’m not putting too much stock into that game as they had just come off a long 7 game series with Tampa Bay and had to quickly turnaround to a rowdy road environment. Just a bad situational spot all around. I think tonight they will silence the crowd and give a great effort to avoid going down 2-0. The Habs have already proven themselves to be road warriors this postseason as they were able to steal 3 out of 4 road games in their previous series. Combine that with the fact that the Sabres lost 2 of 3 at home to the Bruins with the only win coming in a dramatic comeback where frankly they should have lost. With Nick Suzuki leading the charge (goal in his last 2 games), I have no fear heading into the KeyBank center. Let’s go Habs!
