Puck Pick of the day

Another Friday is upon us, and we have three potential close out games in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Anyone who tailed last week’s pick got their weekend off to a phenomenal start after Lane Hutson delivered an OT winner to cash our Canadiens tickets. For tonight’s pick we’ll be going north of the border again as the Habs look to close out the Lighting in their home barn. However, this time we’ll be backing the Bolts. With their backs against the wall, I expect this veteran group to give maximum effort to force a game 7 back in Tampa. One of the main driving forces for this pick is the man between the pipes. The Big Cat has been a clutch performer throughout his Hall of Fame career and is especially good after a postseason loss. From 2020 on, he has a 22-11 record in games following a loss, posting a .911 save percentage and 5 shutouts. He’s already won twice in this series after a loss, and I fully expect him to do it again tonight. On the opposite side of the ice, we’ll just need Nikita Kucherov and Brandon Hagel to continue their stellar play (6 and 7 points this series, respectively). Let’s ride the Lightning!

Official pick: Tampa Bay Lightning -115 (Play to -120)
