Friday Football Pick
Congratulations on making it to another Friday! Tonight our reward is not on the ice or the hardwood, as tonight’s pick will be on the pitch. The United States Men’s National Team kicks off their World Cup against Paraguay tonight, and I will be backing the stars and stripes. We’ve already seen how much of an impact a home environment can have in this World Cup, as Mexico dominated South Africa yesterday in Mexico City. I think the crowd in Los Angeles will provide a huge boost the Americans tonight against a Paraguay side that are simply not as talented as them. Additionally, USMNT gets some good news as it looks like center back Chris Richards will be able to shake off his injury and lace up the boots tonight. No doubt there will be pressure on Mauricio Pochettino and his players, but I believe this is an ideal opening game and one they will take full advantage of. USA! USA! USA!
