Friday Football pick of the day

After a short summer break, we are back for another edition of the Friday football pick of the day. Today we have a clash of European giants as Spain takes on Belgium at 3 pm est. Spain has looked near unbeatable since their opening draw to Cape Verde, while Belgium is coming off their best game this tournament. Today we will be taking a look at the total, as I think this game will go over the 2.5 line. If you’ve heard anything about Spain in the last couple weeks, I’m sure you’ve heard the statistic that they haven’t conceded a goal all tournament. While this is remarkable, I do believe that it ends here. Belgium has plenty of attacking talent and I have faith that they can get one or two past Unai Simon to help us get over this total. Additionally, if Belgium starts the same lineup as it did against USA, they will have the likes of Romelu Lukaku (3 goals as a sub in this World Cup), Kevin De Bruyne, and Jeremy Doku to provide an offensive boost off the bench later in the game. On the other side of the ball, Lamine Yamal should have plenty of opportunities to create scoring opportunities. It may seem crazy betting the over where one side has the best defense in the world and the other has the best keeper in the world in Thibaut Courtois, but sometimes crazy is how I feel. Let’s get some goals!
